With its day-to-day operations run by joint managing directors Mark Vennis and Gary Phillips, Moviehouse Entertainment is one of very few truly independent film sales and production companies operating in London.

Mark has worked in the film and TV industry for over 30 years. He has produced and executive produced many films including Cold Blood Legacy starring Jean Reno; Fear X, the first English language film from acclaimed Danish director Nicolas Winding Refn; the Maxine Peake/Paddy Considine film Funny Cow; the acclaimed Don Letts documentary film Rebel Dread; the John Lennon/Mark Chapman documentary Let Me Take Me Down for Sky Arts/MGM.

In 2021 and early 2022 he produced two films for the Hallmark Channel, Presence of Love and Christmas in London (a co-production with Canada). Later in 2022 he produced the Olga Kurylenko film Boudica for Bleiberg Entertainment with Lucinda Thakrar of Picture Perfect and in 2023 he was the UK producer on the Canada/Malta/UK co-production The Dancing Detective and on the Canada/Belgium/UK co-production the River Cruise Romances.

Gary, similarly with 30 years-experience in the independent film sales arena, guides the companys’ sales, marketing and associated activities. These include attendance at the major film markets, the EFM (European Film Market), Cannes Marche (Film Market) and AFM (the American Film Market) as well as festivals where the company's films play. These have included attendance at Rotterdam, Sundance, Locarno, Toronto and Edinburgh. Phillips has also Executive Produced nearly 40 feature films. Prior to forming Moviehouse Entertainment with Vennis, Phillips held a variety of senior sales-related positions at J&M Entertainment, Majestic Films & TV and prior to that in the Television Distribution business with The Samuel Goldwyn Company and Warner Bros International TV.
