SYNOPSIS:
NEON BLEED is the story of pop star Jordan Lacey and his high-stakes journey to find his own voice in the music he makes.
Before the biggest performance of his career, Jordan rejects a set list of songs with political messaging designed by his team: mega-manager, Dean Michaels, and media tycoon, Max Meszarov. As Jordan looks for a way to evade their control and regain autonomy over his career, his world is flipped upside down when a hit woman working for his estranged brother, Dustin Lacey, kidnaps him from his Hollywood Hills home.
Dustin bargains with Dean over Jordan’s future as he holds Jordan hostage at an undisclosed mountain location. In the meantime, Jordan’s eyes are opened to the vast scope of his management team’s plan to use his music for political and financial ends. Dustin shares music with Jordan, who begins to trust his brother’s vision for more independence and and sees it as the only way out.
Jordan’s management team “rescues” him and returns him to LA, where Meszarov blackmails him into compliance. If Jordan does not perform the set list decided for him, it’s not just his career direction that’s at stake, it’s his entire livelihood.
